In GrowthOptix, a conversion represents a meaningful action performed by a user on your website.
Conversions are not inferred automatically; they are explicitly defined through events configured in the Tracking Script.
What Is Considered a Conversion?
A conversion occurs when a user triggers an event that you have defined as meaningful for your business.
Common examples include:
User sign-ups.
Lead form submissions.
Purchases or completed checkouts.
Upsells or plan upgrades.
These actions are tracked using the GrowthOptix Tracking Script and recorded as events.
Conversion Types in GrowthOptix.
GrowthOptix supports different event types, which may count as conversions:
Signup events
→ User registrations or account creations.Lead events
→ Contact forms, demo requests, inquiries.Sale events
→ Purchases or primary revenue-generating actions.Upsell events
→ Additional purchases or upgrades by existing customers.
Each of these event types contributes to conversion-related metrics.
What Does NOT Count as a Conversion?
The following actions are not considered conversions by default:
Page views.
Button clicks without an event attached.
Scrolling or time spent on page.
Visits without a tracked event.
Unless explicitly defined as events, these actions do not count as conversions.
How Conversions Affect Your Metrics.
Conversions are used to calculate several key metrics, including:
Conversion Rate.
Revenue attribution.
Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).
Return on Investment (ROI).
Without conversion events, GrowthOptix can track traffic, but not performance.
Important Notes.
The user must explicitly configure conversions.
Poorly defined events may lead to misleading metrics.
One visit can trigger multiple conversions.
Conversions are attributed based on session and attribution data at the time they occur.
Best Practices.
To ensure accurate conversion tracking:
Define events that represent real business value.
Avoid counting trivial actions as conversions.
Test events before launching campaigns.
Keep event naming consistent.
