What you’ll see when you first log in.
If Marketing Attribution is enabled, you may land on a dashboard related to traffic, events, or conversions.
If this is your first time using these dashboards, you may wonder:
Why is traffic low or missing?
Why don’t I see conversions yet?
Which dashboard should I start with?
Marketing Attribution dashboards focus on how users arrive, behave, and convert.
What Marketing Attribution dashboards represent
Marketing Attribution dashboards are designed to answer questions such as:
Where does my traffic come from?
Which channels generate conversions?
How do users move through my funnel?
These dashboards are powered by:
The GrowthOptix Tracking Script.
Defined conversion events.
Marketing platform integrations (Google Ads, Meta, Bing, etc.)
What data Marketing Attribution shows
Once active, these dashboards display:
Visits and clicks.
Events such as leads, signups, or sales.
Performance by landing page, device, geography, and source.
Attribution data across channels.
They become active only after tracking and events are properly configured.
Why some dashboards may look empty at first
It’s very common for Marketing Attribution dashboards to appear empty at the beginning. This usually happens because:
The GrowthOptix Tracking Script is not installed.
Events have not been defined or are not firing.
Marketing platforms are not connected.
The selected date range does not include activity.
This is expected and does not indicate an error.
Once real users interact with your site and events fire, dashboards will start filling automatically.
How to Read the Home Dashboards First.
Start with the Home dashboards in Marketing Attribution.
These dashboards help you:
Confirm that tracking is working.
See initial traffic activity.
Identify which events are being recorded.
From there, you can explore more specific dashboards by channel, source, or event type.
How Marketing Attribution dashboards work with revenue data
Marketing Attribution dashboards connect naturally with Smart Revenue Analytics.
A typical flow looks like this:
Marketing Attribution shows where users come from and how they convert.
Smart Revenue Analytics shows how those conversions translate into revenue.
Together, they provide a complete view of traffic → conversion → revenue.
What You Should Do First.
If this is your first session using Marketing Attribution, focus on:
Installing the GrowthOptix Tracking Script.
Defining at least one conversion event.
Connecting marketing platforms (optional).
Returning after real user activity occurs.
You don’t need to set up everything immediately.
Good to Know.
Dashboards update as new events are recorded.
Date ranges affect what data you see.
Different dashboards become available as setup progresses.
Empty dashboards early on are normal.
What’s Next?
Once data starts flowing, you can:
Explore attribution by channel and source
Analyze performance by landing page or device
Connect marketing activity to real revenue
If you’re unsure whether tracking is working correctly, see: Why some metrics may show zero values.
