PayPal Data Sync Frequency.
PayPal data in GrowthOptix is updated every 4 hours.
This sync frequency is determined by how PayPal’s API makes data available.
PayPal typically releases new transaction and subscription data in batches, approximately every 3 hours.
Once new data is available through the PayPal API, GrowthOptix retrieves it during the next scheduled sync window.
Why PayPal Data is Not Real-Time.
Unlike Stripe, PayPal does not provide all transaction and subscription events in real time through its API.
Because of this:
New PayPal activity may not be immediately available.
GrowthOptix can only sync data once PayPal exposes it.
A short delay between activity and dashboard updates is expected.
This behavior is entirely driven by PayPal’s API and does not indicate an issue with your GrowthOptix integration.
What This Means For Your Dashboards.
You’ll typically see new PayPal data, such as:
Transactions.
Refunds.
Subscription events.
within 3 to 4 hours of the activity occurring. Once synced, your dashboards will update automatically.
Historical Data Sync.
When you connect PayPal to GrowthOptix for the first time, the platform retrieves up to 3 years of historical data.
This allows you to view past transactions, subscriptions, and refunds without manual imports.
Once the historical sync is complete, PayPal data continues to update periodically throughout the day, based on how PayPal’s API releases new data.
Where to Check The Last Sync Time.
You can always see the most recent PayPal sync time directly in the app under:
Settings → Integrations
